  • Be mindful of tough foods

Be mindful of your new teeth and what they can handle. Tougher foods can put a lot of pressure on your gums. If you would like to enjoy food like red meat, it is recommended that it is stewed or cooked over a long period of time. If this is not possible for you, cutting your steak into smaller pieces is a great alternative.

  • Be careful of sticky food

Just like with your original teeth, sticky foods are not great for them. Foods like candy and peanut butter can get stuck between your gums and your dentures which can cause inflammation. Be sure to clean all areas when you are done indulging in a sweet treat.
